Parents, Pushing Back in PEI

Reaching out locally to those responsible for funding and promoting the evil gender ideology that wants to destroy my family

Letter to give to my provincial government repersentive -meeting April/8/2024

I am reaching out to you today for support, with hope that truth and common sense can still be found existing on PEI, in this almost lost country of Canada.

I am appealing to you as a fellow parent, as I trust you also hold the family unit in high regard, and believe that family values passed down to our offspring should not be disregarded by government. And that loving parents have the duty and undeniable right to protect our children from misinformation that has potential for serious lifelong physical and mental harms.

I speak for myself as a PEI parent, and also as a member of the PEI Parents activist group, and as a member of nationals groups Our Duty Canada, and PRCOC (Parents Rights Coalition of Canada).

We strongly recommend that PEI join along with the other Canadian provinces, (New Brunswick, Sask., Alberta), that are pulling away from the flawed gender affirmative care (GAC) model, that PEI and Canada have been blindly following during the last decade.

PEI Parents have collected over 1200 signatures on a petition, that is asking for the Removal of the Policy of Guidelines for Respecting, Accommodating and Supporting Gender Identity, Gender Expression and Sexual Orientation in our PEI Schools and all provincial government agencies.

PEI Parents is requesting that District 1 Member of Legislative Assembly, put forward our public petition, to be presented in the PEI Legislative Assembly’s’ spring sitting.

We also request that all Schools Stop using all SOGI (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity) instructional content and resource materials, (library books), that is quietly currently being used in all public K-12 schools on Prince Edward Island.

We feel that introducing this content material to young children is controversial. Many parents feel strongly that they should be involved in these important areas of their Childs growth and development, at least until the childs’ brain has been developed enough to fully understand the concepts of sexuality and (an unproved) gender identity.

By Schools (and the internet) inputting these potentially very harmful ideas into young underdeveloped minds about questioning and labeling themselves, it is adding to the dangerous social trend being seen across the country and beyond. It is responsible for the concerningly extreme increase in impressionable and vulnerable youth believing they have a mental illness, because they are uncomfortable in their growing bodies, leading to them seeking unproven experimental, so-called, gender affirming care.

Teachers are not physiotherapists! Our children are in crisis, and parents can’t be accused of being abusive by default. Parents’ have the duty to be involved in ALL of their children’s’ health concerns. The existence of the growing number of detransitioners now speaking out about abuse and malpractice they have experienced from the affirmative care model, that ignores all other comorbidities such as ASD (Autism spectrum disorder) or even abuse, proves that this whole approach is harmful.

The recent release of The Cass Report in the UK has shown that the data is now evidence in proving that the many risks for mental and physical harm from GAC, far outweigh any possible benefits.

Doing these actions would be a good start, as PEI and Canada need to join in with the growing number of international countries that are currently making big changes in the treatment of Gender Dysphoria.

There is also new data that proves that the suicide threat is a deliberate lie that is used to traumatized loving parents. The truth is that the risks are actually much higher after transition, when the young patients realize their devastating regret from the irreversible damages and lifelong health complications that they have uniformly consented to. It is proven fact that the brain is not fully developed enough to understand the impacts of these impulsive decisions until minimum age 25 (30 in Autistic youth).

The recently exposed WPATH files shows undeniable proof that this organizations’ “standards of care” model, that PEI proudly follows, (PEI Gender affirming care) is NOT based on scientific facts or long term safety studies. But rather, is quickly becoming exposed as the largest medical disaster scandal to date. As the organization is not being run by health professionals, but instead being lead by Trans Rights Activists (TRAs) pushing an unsafe, social justice narrative, to force a societal change by indoctrinating and taking advantage of our children through lies, guilt and confusion.

Many would agree that progress is necessary and a good thing for humanity in general, but only when its based in scientific truth, and reality based information, and used for the purpose of betterment for all, not just a small fringe group.

Instead of betterment, we are observing a regressive social justice takeover, disguised as diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), at all levels of government, creating divisions and destabilization among all Canadian citizens.

My family has personally been affected through ROGD (rapid onset gender dysphoria), by these harmful unproven beliefs being taught in schools, and promoted by our government departments.

Our Islands’ once respected conservative values are now being called hateful and oppressive, and anyone questioning this direction is called a bigot.

This is not progress.

I am curious if you, as our local MLA, are aware of the different points of view that are causing this crisis in many island voting families like mine, here and also across the country, as displayed last September during the million man march in every Canadian city, including Charlottetown. Parents and families are under attack by groups that feel children should instead be guided by these activist groups that are set on indoctrinating children and separating families.

If you were not aware, you will be after today. We are part of a growing silent majority that is not going to stay silent any longer! The tide is turning! The awareness is rising and if the Federal Conservatives take power next year many Canadians are asking that they make some very needed changes like reversing Bill C4 to start. Why wouldn’t the PEI conservatives, in power currently, want to be on the right side of this now?

PEI has a chance to represent its citizens and protect venerable children, honestly and fairly, instead of just going along with (and fully funding**) whatever the loud social justice activists and captured organizations are demanding.

(** We have documented proof that in 2023 our provincial government has given out over 120,000 of our taxpayers dollars to these activist organizations. PEERS alliance and the PEI Transgender network PEITN.)

More and more concerned Canadians are coming forward daily and speaking out against this issue and other serious concerns, such as protecting woman’s rights and spaces; and safeguarding children’s right to access proper diagnosis and treatment. Children and Island families would be far better served if we would switch to a Therapy First treatment framework, (as offered internationally through Genspect), and immediately STOP using the flawed WPATH GAC model.

This issue is about to return to the news cycle on PEI, as our group PEI Parents, has a flyer campaign about to be released this spring, to direct islanders to our new detailed website with links to all this data and more evolving information.

PEI will also soon be represented on the national stage, with upcoming appearances on many popular national and international podcasts and YouTube channels. We will be voicings the concerns of PEI parents, children and young adults, that are currently being misguided by the misinformed elected government members, local media, our public schools and being harmed by the dangerous medical procedures being funded and practiced on PEI.

Follow up; During the Monday April 8/2024 meeting with my local MLA, the most he would agree to do with the petition and our concerns, was to say he would present it privately to the conservative caucus.

The spring session ended on Monday April 22. I spoke again, via telephone to my MLA on Thursday May 9 and was told that I would, maybe, have to take the petition to a standing committee process before getting it presented to Government legislature in the Fall sitting. ( After follow up research we discovered this is false.)

May 31/2024 update. The Flyers have been sent out and the Website www.PEIParents.com is now live. We have received a great deal of support from fellow concerned parents that are very grateful that we are speaking up to protect children and families.

We were fully expecting to be called hateful transphobic bigots, and the local CBC did not disappoint. They took a week to report on the flyer and ignored all the factual information about our concerns that we shared with them, upon their request for an interview.

Instead, they twisted the story to support the Trans Rights Activists and attempted, as usual, to make loving island parents out to be villains by accusing us of spreading misinformation.

We reported to parents that these third party groups have been presenting unapproved inappropriate materials to the younger children in k-6 levels. PEI Parents had no problem proving our information was factual, and that it is the PEI Public School Board that is sharing misinformation by denying that they are allowing PEERS and PEITGN to present controversial information and resources to these kindergarten and elementary age children.

The local fight will not stop until all of these policies and practices are abolished and the already harmed island youth get the proper care and support they need from family, community and the government.
